Job Title: Experienced Dental Assistant (Pediatric Office – Fridays Only)
Location: Pediatric Dental Office
Schedule: Fridays, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Dental Assistant to join our friendly pediatric dental team on Fridays. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working with children, highly organized, and committed to delivering excellent patient care in a positive, supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures
- Perform pediatric dental hygiene procedures, including prophylaxis (cleanings), polishing teeth, fluoride applications, and sealants
- Provide patients and parents with at-home dental hygiene instructions and education
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
- Help ensure a comfortable and welcoming experience for young patients
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow office protocols
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant (pediatric experience preferred)
- Experience performing dental hygiene procedures (prophylaxis, fluoride, sealants, etc.)
- X-ray certification (as required by state regulations)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor
